The University can confirm that no regulated procedures governed by the Animal (Scientific Procedures ) Act 1986 and EU Directive 2010/63/EU take place at the University.

The University does, from time to time, work with collaborators in other institutions on research involving animals which may fall within these regulations, and the relevant information (e.g. regarding the numbers of animals kept and used for research; and any ethics minutes/paperwork) is recorded under the appropriate legislative documentation and held by the collaborating establishments (i.e., the other Universities), not by the Manchester Metropolitan University.
